Understanding Your AI Diagnosis Report

Your AI Diagnostics Report is here to give you plain-English insight into what’s going on with your vehicle — no confusing jargon, and no guesswork. Here’s how to make sense of what you’re seeing, and how to use the report to stay in control of your vehicle.

What’s in the Report?

Your report is broken down into simple, easy-to-follow sections:

1. Vehicle Info, Fault Codes & Q&A

This is the information you (and your car!) provided to AutoMind. It includes:

  • Your vehicle’s profile details

  • Any fault codes detected during the scan

  • Your answers to the short Q&A about symptoms, mileage, and more
All of this is used by our AI mechanic to build a personalised diagnosis.

2. Safety to Drive

This is a big one — a clear, colour-coded answer to the most urgent question:

Is it safe to keep driving?

  • ✅ Green: Safe to continue driving

  • ⚠️ Amber: Drive with caution – read the explanation carefully

  • ❌ Red: Do not drive – there could be a serious risk

The AI will always lean on the side of caution and explain exactly why it gave that decision.

3. Repair Assistance

If you're in the UK and your report highlights an issue we can help with, you’ll see trusted AutoMind-approved repair partners recommended here. These are specialists, not random garages.

4. Fault Code Assessment

This is the heart of the report. Fault codes are grouped together if they relate to the same issue. For each group you’ll see:

  • What’s going wrong, in layman’s terms

  • How it affects your vehicle’s performance

  • If any of your symptoms (from the Q&A) are linked

  • Whether your specific model, year or mileage makes certain faults more likely

  • How urgent the issue is

  • What a real-life mechanic would do next

So even if you’re heading to a garage, you’ll already know what to expect — and that means no surprises and no unnecessary repairs.

5. Glossary of Terms

We keep the language simple, but just in case anything slips through, the glossary will explain any tricky words or concepts.

6. Summary

A quick roundup of what we’ve found. Ideal for a skim read, or to show someone else at a glance.

How Should I Use the Report?

  • You can show it to your mechanic to help them diagnose and repair the issue faster

  • You can hold it back and see if a mechanic gives the same findings — a trustworthy garage will explain their reasoning if it differs from the report. A not-so-trustworthy one might not...

  • You can share it easily straight from the app if you want to get a second opinion

Important Things to Know

AutoMind works with the information your car provides and the answers you give. If your vehicle has incomplete data or you skip questions, the report can only do its best with what it has. It’s not a replacement for a qualified mechanic — but it is a powerful tool to give you confidence, control, and clarity.

All past reports can be accessed anytime from the Reports tab in the main menu of the AutoMind app.

Please Note: AutoMind is a free service, so phone and direct email support isn’t available. Help is provided via this Knowledge Base and Ticketing System only. In the app, tap the help or ‘i’ icon to view the correct article. If you still need assistance, you can submit a support ticket — but if the answer is already covered here, we’ll refer you back to it. Personal replies are limited due to the free nature of this service.
