Live Data
Welcome to AutoMind’s Live Data feature—currently in beta—designed for advanced diagnostics users. Today, we’ll walk you through how to access and interpret live vehicle data, and show you why this powerful tool is the next big leap in AI-powered diagnostics.
On a basic level, live data lets you see real-time readings of key engine parameters. Instead of static snapshots, you get dynamic trends—identifying intermittent faults, verifying sensor responses, and confirming repairs instantly. For seasoned technicians, that means:
- Faster troubleshooting by pinpointing when and how a parameter deviates
- Better comparisons between baseline and test conditions
- Immediate validation of repairs or adjustments
Remember: to stream live data, the engine must be running. That means idling or driving—Live Data uses the vehicle’s own power to feed real-time values back to the app.
NOTE: Because we rely on generic OBD-II communication protcols, each manufacturer decides which parameters to expose. If you don’t see a certain reading, it may simply be unavailable on your vehicle’s ECU.
Thank you for exploring AutoMind’s Live Data beta whilst we refine this feature, and stay tuned for the upcoming AI-driven test routines that will make AutoMind diagnostics even more powerful.
