First-Time Use: Grant Bluetooth Permissions

AutoMind Requires Bluetooth Access

To connect to your vehicle and retrieve fault code data, AutoMind needs Bluetooth access.

When you first use the app — or when using a connection feature —
you’ll see a prompt asking for Bluetooth permission.

This is required because AutoMind connects to a small device called a dongle,
which plugs into your vehicle. The dongle reads engine data and sends it to your
phone via Bluetooth.

Without Bluetooth access, features like Engine DiagnosisGuided by AutoMind,
Fault Code Clearing, and Live Data won’t work.

If you deny Bluetooth permission, we’ll remind you again the next time you try to
use one of those features.Don’t worry — there is no security risk in supplying Bluetooth access.
Once permission is granted, you’re all set to connect and start using AutoMind.
