Get it on Google Play Download on the App Store

Welcome to AutoMind!
This quick video will guide you through everything you need to know to get started using your intelligent diagnostics system.

If you’ve already completed the onboarding 3 steps, great! If your dongle isn't already in your hand, it should arrive within a couple of days. If you haven’t onboarded yet, please head back to goautomind.com and follow the onboarding steps before continuing.

Just in case you didn't follow onboarding step 3, please download the AutoMind app using the links just below this video. It’s available on both iOS and Android.

You’ll need to locate your vehicle’s OBD2 diagnostic port to get started. If you’re not sure where to find it, there’s a link under the video that will help guide you.

Quick hint: Most are under the driver's side dash, above the pedals, and it looks similar to an old SCART socket!

Once the app is installed, open it and log in using the same email and password you used to register on the website.

Every screen in the app includes a small “i” icon in the top right corner — tap it any time to open a help article specific to that screen. This means you’re never more than one tap away from support or instructions.

Once logged in if you're using an AutoMind dongle and want to run your first diagnostic, tap the big green “Guided by AutoMind” button on the main menu. It will walk you through the entire process — from connecting to your vehicle, to reading fault codes, to generating your personalised AI diagnostic report. It’s simple and fully guided, no technical knowledge required. Just remember, if you get stuck use the i for info button

If you’re using a compatible third-party ELM 327 Bluetooth dongle, use the “Vehicle Connection” light blue button just below the Guided by AutoMind option. You’ll need to manually pair your device, but everything else works the same from that point onward, although you'll need to manually select options once connected.

If you have any trouble connecting to your vehicle, don’t worry — sometimes vehicle computers don’t communicate properly the first time. Try closing the app, unplugging the dongle, then starting the process again. It’s not a fault — it’s just how some cars behave. You’ll also find a dedicated Knowledge Base article to help with this if needed.

Even if your vehicle doesn’t return any fault codes, AutoMind can still generate a report using the built-in question-and-answer system. Simply proceed to purchase a report and describe the symptoms, then let our AI trained mechanic do the work.

So, just follow the instructions on screen, and remember — there’s always at least one help button on every screen. You won’t get stuck.

Well, go on, what are you waiting for... Go and enjoy taking back control!
